Business NOT as UsualThrough the wisdom and benevolence of our Emperor and the Imperial Court, we are transitioning from a sales tax to a flat monthly fee for a business license for all merchants, shops, stalls and any trade conducted within the Jade Lotus territory. The cost for a business license is as follows: First Month: 10 Copper for ALL shops, stalls, merchants, etc.
The current list of businesses are:
The following stalls are open for new Management
There are currently two open buildings for Empire citizens for NEW businesses and two open stalls for non-citizens and foreign traders. About Damn SlimeBeneath the purified islands of the Empire, is the darkened yokai forest. It is a dangerous place within Sincadere, and home to many of the darker denizens of the Empire - yokai, oni, angry spirits… and.. Slimes? A few Oniyami (the small adorable blue oni that tend the yokai forest), were discovered in the village riling the Nekoyami up into a panic about a couple of slimes eating everything in the yokai forest. Including…eating little Oniyami. Brave citizens of the Empire banded together to venture into the darkened woods to confront the pair of goo slinging slime-girls. The pair of goopy girls were confronted with one of the slimes separating from the other. Ultimately, however, the slimes were defeated with minimal injuries to our citizens. Though, a few more of the Oniyami were devoured before they could be saved. And rumor has it that the pink slime absorbed her attackers clothing, while the blue slime got a little ‘intimate’. Ultimately, both slimes were defeated and it was discovered that the pair had absorbed a strange inkly black substance within the yokai forest that had driven the slimes to insatiable hunger. Both slimes are being held within the Three Pillars academy to be studied. The Naylte Cultural FaireNot long after the Empire’s mysterious Mist Wall came down and the people of the Jade Lotus rejoined the realm of Sincadere, the Naylte under the Fuleao Clan appeared. They have since been an ally and surprisingly strong military force within the Empire. Afterall, no one expects to get their ass kicked by a cute, fluffy bunny. However, their ways continue to be a mystery to many of those outside of their clan. With their long, long, long names and aversion to eating plants, perhaps you find yourself asking… Who are the Naylte?! And so, the Naylte Cultural Faire was organized as a way to invite people of the realm to immerse themselves in many of the unique traditions of the Naylte and learn of their history, culture, and language. A day of festivities and educational opportunities was provided by Mirah and Aura to enlighten those curious of the ways of the Naylte. Classes on their language, food, traditions, and history were shared to numerous visitors from across the realm. And rumor has it that even the Emperor was in attendance to learn of the people that had aided the Empire for so long.
Did you know…that bee keeping is a highly regarded position within Naylte culture?! If not, then make sure you show up for the next Naylte Cultural Faire to learn more about the (in)famous bunnies! ++ In the year of our Glorious Monarch King Tyr 14th day of Second Seed (May) ++ By the grace of our Monarch to all our benevolent stakeholders: As everyone is fully aware, trade across Sincadere is not without risk. This is factored into our yields and offset by the expense of hired muscle. The last caravan, sixth of its type in Second Seed of 2146, was attacked by nefarious anonymous bandits. Our security was primarily supplied by stalwart defenders from the Caballa. True to their strengths and overcoming many murderous ambushes, the caravan guards prevailed, ensuring the caravan made it to its rightful destination intact. It is testament to our business agreements, that span across national divides and render benefit to profit through our inherent neutrality. The Cabbalan guards have proven themselves worthy and honourable in this regard and are deserving of all accolades therein. Descriptions of the bandits are vague, but have been reported to the security forces of both Helheim and Caballa for their persual. Be on the lookout for these bandits, for it is in doubt that their determination will be quelled, despite the strength of the forces that did so this time. My beloved stakeholders, may I remind you that we intend to continue with our expansion for sustained trade into further climes. As mentioned before, our schedule remains the same. By the dawn of Solar Zenith (July) we intend to convey our first major caravan into the land of the Jade Lotus, providing trade profit and boon to all those with a sense for business.
The grace and gifts of The Four upon you all. Glory to the King! - Ignatius Humphrey Engleton A Vote in Every Ballot and a Thumb in Every Ass. Sincadere Spring 08/05/2022 Can you feel it? Surely you can dear reader. There is a sickening feeling, a tingling sensation around the caves. Its dwellers seem to be stricken by pesky good manners, wicked smiles and hollow praises all around, while knives are getting ready behind each other's back. The time has come, the pestilent turmoil of politics is upon us, for a chair on the high council has been recently freed. Worry not about its former owner, his screams can still be heard if you listen closely. It is a seat of grand power, a coveted chair, perfect to suckle, tug and nip the Archon's ear. Advisor to the Cabbala, spewing poisoned words right into the heart of the caves. All around our dark home, posters had been string and hung, three deviant souls seek to go at each other's throats. Who are these silver tongue devils? It ss the question on everyone's mind. Well, allow me dear reader, to cast them out of the blackest shadows and shed some dim light over their plump arse. Let us tonight, find out on what they truly stand. - Compassion for Those Who Deserve It - She wore the medicum beak, that unsettling crow like mask, if only to hide her honest beautiful eyes. The head of the Verdant Branch, night after night, she is tasked to patch us all up. Hear not the rumors of the corpses pilling in the back. The good Doctor Robin has served the Cabbala with fire since the times of The White Hound. An experienced voice, over her shoulders the burden of dark past. Always on the wagon, she reasons first before she strikes. Yes!, she may look small and quite tasty, but make no mistake nor try to take a bite, this author has witnessed the power of her heavy maul. For some reason that baffles yours truly, her keen gaze looks after the slave's well being, going further to treat them as people. Helping those that she deems worthy, chained or not, to reach their true potential. A kind heart with a sharp mind, the Raven looking one may be perched on the Advisor's seat as Huginn and Muninn squawking their advice into Odin's ear. - Make Fear Great Again - I remembered when my eyes first fell on this one, behind the bars of a sturdy cage. A foolish toy that tried to hurt one of our own, yapping curses to those that passed by. Lovely times before the caves collapsed. Prey she once was, prey no more, from the humblest of beginnings, Devina, is chained no more. Well, unless you count rumors on her ties to the Basilica. Under the fostering wing of Sapphira shadow drake, she has come a long way. The infamous Gladiator of The Eye and wine entrepreneur, now tosses her gauntlets into the political battle ground. Villainous soul that hits first, only to hit once more, she promises one thing to anyone that lends her an ear. To be the thunderous voice of wrath in the council. The battle hardened Gladiatrix aims to pour true fear into the hearts of all those that dwell on the surface, stretching the tendrils of the Cabbala. Take heed dear reader, the day may come when she takes the Advisor's seat sipping her very own vintage wine from the skulls of the Empire's guard. - One Bard, Two Puppets, Three Voices! -
Once upon a time, on a faraway land, a mangled elf armed only with wits stepped into the dark of the Cabbalan caves. This, dear readers is how the story of a certain bard begins, or at least how it began on Sincadere. Ashley the Great!, self-proclaimed minstrel of immense culture, sophisticated femme fatale with endless good taste. Or at least that is how she portraits herself. Dressed with puppets and muppets, one on each hand, and a colorful attire only a blind man would adore, this self-made grand artists gleams in the blackest dark with hellfire, tone-deaf passion and one devious tuneless lute. Half-baked? Only to those with shallow eyes, be warned not to make the foolish mistake of considering her weak. Our Queen of Sonnets packs more than meets the eye. Her renown is vast, with connections in high courts, brothels and ill-conceived taverns alike. Those that hear her songs are moved to terror, tears and sobs. Beware monsters of the dark, when her colorful ass lays on the Advisor's seat pray her voice reaches you not, weep now dear readers, culture is here. Three grand souls dancing around the heightened chair's seat. Three devious devils reaching to tear each other’s throats. Who is to know who will win the coveted prize? Make your choice Cabbalans, do not falter on your duty. Make your choice, by conscience or by coin. Know that at the end, you will all reap what you sow. For now, I bid you farewell, sleep with pleasant nightmares on this night. - R. Hangfire Today marks a new chapter in the grand history of the Jade Lotus Empire, as we bear witness to the end of the glorious reign of Tsuiteru Koharu. Koharu reigned as Empress, after her grandmother, Tsuiteru, stepped down from the throne. It was due to her leadership, that the Empire has risen to the skies and endured despite those that would see us fall. However, as all who live under the Celestial Order, even a mighty Empress must heed to the will of the Heavens. And when the kami speak, we listen. It is through their wisdom, blessings, and guidance that we bore witness to the rise of a new Emperor. And many in the realm were curious to see who this new Emperor would be.. The Archon and Shadow Warden of the Cabbala crawled out of the caverns, though it was not till the end of the coronation that their true treachery was brought to light. When the Archon presented our new Emperor with a symbolic gift, a bridge. While it was not said openly, her words implied that it was the Cabbala that had blown up the favored bridge of our former Empress, Koharu…setting off the chain of hostility between our Empire and Helheim. The King of Helheim called for a week’s ceasefire of hostilities and conducted himself admirably, for a gaijin. The same could not be said of his Queen who showed up to the coronation drunker than a Nekoyami on their day off and disparaging our sacred beliefs as usual. But perhaps in light of recent news, we can come to terms with our neighbors and focus on the true threat to the safety and sanctity of this realm. Of course many of the Royal Family were in attendance to show their support and solidarity. House Ryu of Helheim will always be welcome with their family in the Empire, and the blessings of the Fortunes will be spread across the realm. There were many citizens of the Empire, eager to see the passing of the throne and whether or not Derizael would receive the blessings of the Heavens. Beyond the many tails of our revered Jade Oracle, Mitsuke, the new Emperor awaits to see if his ascension to the High Seat of Heaven will be blessed by the kami. The Oracle announced that Tsugashi Derizael’s rise to the throne was ordained, and in response, thunder and storms were heard echoing across the skies as a sign of his Fortune’s favor. The new Emperor decreed that the Celestial Order would be the law of the land to provide order and stability to the Empire, where all citizens can find their place under the will of Heaven.
Court was concluded, and upon the Archon’s presentation of her offensive ‘gift’, the Emperor cleared the palace of gaijin with a roar. And the citizens of the Empire were left to celebrate amongst themselves and enjoy a bountiful feast. The lovely geisha in training, Harumi Hoshi, dazzled the Empire with her artful display of the fan dance and reciting of traditional poetry. The performance took place at the esteemed Kabuki-Cat Theater. The world trees were in full bloom with petals falling from the sky, a sign that the Fortunes found favor with the young maiko’s performance. "The Harumi Hoshi 星晴美 Helheim of Reluctant and Enthusiasm is truly inspired." – For the Jade Lotus Empire "Amazing how so few words can set a scene so perfectly” she said as she closes her eyes “all I can see is the syllables bursting." A whirl of absolute magnificence happen with her maiougi folding fans then. “I felt that I was reluctant. It was frightening. However I felt the jade tiger growling in the bounds of me” immediately she said those next words she whirls and faucets her tabi sock feet faintly to the podium. "I've constantly wanted to waltz about a reluctant for the Jade since I was a young person. I can't imagine today is the date” She then slender sneers but acts like a china doll. "Syllables bursting is a popular opening line for a haiku. It's incredible how much multiplicity can be accomplished with those finishing lines." Then she does a rapid velocity spin as blossoms just burst all over the gathering of the Jade empire as she split ends the dance. Following the show, Harumi honored those in attendance with a relaxing time in the inn, offering a tea and sake ceremony.
Though still a maiko, it was made clear that the skills of a trained geisha are in demand throughout the Empire and one should count themselves blessed by the Fortunes to find themselves in the company of such talented artists. As reported by Sin Today. After overmining divinium in the Jade Lotus Empire, the lands revolted and an explosion shook the realm. The result was many new islands floating far above the land and the industrious citizens of the Jade Lotus lost no time in rebuilding their home in the sky. Without further adieu, Sin Today's very own travel guide: Mr. Noodle's Guide to the Jade Lotus Empire* * Though presented in IC format, this is an OOC guide to the new Cabbala Rebuild. Like most oldtimey travel guides, this guide may be outdated as the build changes. Major Builds The Imperial Palace - The Empress' seat of power for her Empire, sitting high above her lands. The Sakura Throne sits upon a diaz made of entire jade, where her Imperial Court sits and holds council. On the second floor are the offices and training area for the Imperial Army. On the Dragon's Landing balcony, there is a shrine to the late Shogun, Gin. The Maiden Shrine - Adjacent to the Imperial Palace, The Maiden Shrine is where the Jade Oracle performs service and prayer to the kami, and communes with the celestial heavens. The Ancestral Graveyard houses the remains of the most venerated of the Empire. The Jade Village - On the central island, where the main World Sakura Tree resides, is the Jade Village, capital of the Jade Empire. The village houses the Market, and is the central business area for the faction. Upon arriving into the faction, one comes out of the portal into the Jade Village. The Infirmary and Imperial Welcome center are located near the portal. There is a cafe, an alchemy shop, a magic shop, a forge, and a brewery as established shops to run and RP in, as well as a handful of empty buildings and stalls for new upcoming businesses and external merchants. The Celestial Anchor - On a misted island, below the Imperial Palace, lays an island that sits upon another island, surrounded by 6 stone pillars. Guarded by an ancient Ryu (Dragon Spirit) lays the Celestial Anchor, that binds the blessings of the kami to the JLE. This is the final focus for the monthly blessing. Yin Yang Residential District - One of two residential districts of the Jade Village. This is setup for communal living, and does not afford the same privacy as the individual rental islands. The Yin Yang design of the garden at its center gives this district its name. Jade Noodle Residential District - One of two residential districts of the Jade Village. This is setup for communal living, and does not afford the same privacy as the individual rental islands. The Tri-Noodle Jade fountain at its center gives this district its name. The Red Lantern District (Entertainment District) - More commonly known as the Entertainment District by the locals, this district houses the Hot Springs, The Okiya, The Inn, and Nekoyami Island, where the Kabuki-Cat Troupe performs its plays. The old Crouching Sushi, Hidden Noodle stands reside here. The Okiya and Fuleao Clan Guild Hall - The Okiya is the central location for food and drink, whether it be sake or tea. They have an extensive menu, and provide other services of less legal nature under the table. The Okiya currently is owned by the Fuleao Clan Guild. They reside in the structure over the Okiya, where they can manage its dealings and follow the ways of their Clan. The High House of Light (Elven/Fae Island) - Near the Jade Village, there resides an island with foreign architecture, and unknown flora. By decree of the most magnanimous Empress, The High House of Light was created as an invitation for all creatures of light to come and dwell, as a refuge from the world below.. All Elves, Fae, and Celestial creatures are welcome to enjoy this build, as a gateway into the JLE. The Yokai Forest - The JLE has always been a force of balance in Sincadere. Though the Empress has risen the mountains and the capital into the sky, much of the Empire is still on the ground below. Sincadere still must thrive. Balance must be maintained. The Empress and her people established strong enchantments on the world sakura tree that hangs below the build. This tree pulls the corruption of the realm into itself, and into the islands below the main island. As a result, corruption opens up portals, letting in all kinds of yokai and oni (demons) into the forests. Most are pulled from this realm, along with the majority of the corruption, into the Void shrine, where it is vented from the realm. This allows the islands above to stay pure from the world's darkness. Within one of the islands of the Yokai forest, resides a cave dripping with corrupted ichor....and tentacles. Minor Builds The Earth Shrine - The Shrine of Earth lies within what is left of the bamboo forest, after the mountain was raised. It is home to a family of Panda, and is a good space to hold RP on its spacious island. The Air Shrine - High above, near the Imperial palace, the air shrine is surrounded by turbulent winds, and a blizzard of sakura. The nekoyami love to go up there, and play with their pinwheels. The Fire Shrine - Under the Hot Springs, within the island resides a cave where the fire kami call home. The heat is intense, but the fire kami protect against the worst of it, for such is their blessings. The Water Shrine - Under the Imperial Palace, there sits a basin of water filled by a stone that weeps perpetual pure water into its basin. Below, under the watery depths, resides the Water Shrine. The water kami's blessing allows those that worship them to breathe the water as if the water was air. There is also an aquatic social area where aquatic characters can swim and relax. The Void Shrine - Deep within the Yokai Forest, under its shadowed domes, resides the newest element. The Void is all elements, and yet none. Its kami are few and rare. Most of them reside in the Void itself, where the corruption bleeds into it. Nekoyami Island - Attached to the Red Lantern District is Nekoyami island where the Kabuki-Cat Theater Troupe has their plays. This is also where the nekoyami come to play and socialize when a play isn't going on. The stage is for all in the empire to use. The Hot Springs - (These are orgy hot springs, you must sit on TOP of the tree stumps in order to sit on the Hot springs and access the animation menu. The base of the stumps are leash holders. It can hold up to 16+ people between the two hot spring levels.) The hot springs are for public use, though the Okiya provides services to those that wish to relax in their kami heated waters. Below the springs is the Fire Shrine, the blessing of the fire kami is to make the Springs pleasantly warm, but not too hot. Rice Farm - This island provides most of the rice for the floating capital. It is a great RP area with lewd furniture available, and an open field for fights and general RP. The Market - Home to 4 stalls, for newer businesses and merchants from outside the JLE. This is a small quaint market where citizens can shop new and/or exotic wares from outside the Empire's borders. The Imperial Welcome Center - This is where most new members of the faction should go to the Imperial Welcome Center. It has a red roof and is to the left, surrounded by the Dragon Road. This is also where the Imperial Research Commission library resides, on the second floor. The Fae Village - Located behind The Hight House of Light, lays a small fae village for petites. The buildings are deco, but there is petite furniture and an area for the smaller folk to talk, lounge and socialize. The Tentacle Cave - Hidden within the Yokai Forest islands lays a cave that the corruption dripped its ichor, and from its depths tentacles spew forth to those helpless victims that wander in. Landmarks and Details of Interest World Sakura Trees - The World Sakura Trees hold the enchantment that causes the mountain to float. Grown and imbued with celestial magic, these mega trees and their roots are excellent perches, and walk ways between the islands and paths. At the top of each tree lays a Noodle Roost where the Empire's dragons, sleep, mate, and nest. The Nekoyami - The Nekoyami are the servant caste of the Jade Lotus Empire. Like most cats, they have long forgotten the injustice done to their ancestors and serve the Empire with the joy of 'lesser beings'. In defense of the Empress, the nekoyami are treated well for their services, even if they are not respected amongst most of the nobility. They serve with genuine smiles, never missing the freedoms they never knew. The Oniyami - Much like the Nekoyami, the Oniyami serve the Empress. These lil demons are captured, and made to swear magical fealty, to help maintain the Yokai Forest, and contain the yokai within. Flower Globes - Magical flowers cultivated with globes in their roots, creating light and beauty for the empire. The Spirit Koi - Two spirit Koi revolve around the central World Sakura Tree. These Koi hail from the celestial heavens, and are part of the enchantment that binds the World Sakura Trees, and the celestial magic that keeps the islands a float. Enchanted Floating Lanterns - These lanterns once floated above the waterfalls of the old JLE, they now float around the main World Sakura Tree. The animals of the JLE - The new JLE has come to life with fauna selectively place throughout the build. There are Pandas, Cranes, and Foxes. The Noodle Roosts - On top of each World Sakura Tree is a curved bowl. These bowls are where noodles rest and roost, mate, and lay their egg clutches. Though these bowls are not claimed by the noble creatures. The Dragon Road - One of the first things built in the new Jade Village, the Dragon road was made to honor Tsuiteru and her kin. The Air Kami's Permanent Blessing and Taxi Service - The Empress, and the Jade Oracle in their infinite wisdom made a pact with the Air Kami, regardless of blessing to ensure the safety of all its citizens and guests. Anyone that falls off an island, will be returned immediately to the same spot they fell from by the kami. This does NOT apply to enemies of the Empire. The Air Kami also provide a service taking any allies or citizens to islands not directly connected by roots or bridges. Credits Builders: Mr. Noodle, Noodle, Fantasy, Brianna

Helheim is a proud Kingdom and one that does not back down from any challenge or threat to its might, and its citizens are well known for their willingness to fight and defend the Kingdom. The recent conflict with the Empire has only proven this, with the last and most recent battle with the Jade Lotus Empire resulting in a distinct victory for the Kingdom of Helheim. However, it is important to remember the history of the land and most importantly that Helheim's greatest threat to its independence and rule is not forgotten. To turn the clocks back and examine recent history, the last great conflict was with the Cabbala. Many within Helheim have a memory of that war and who served in it against the forces of the caves and the many demonic and dark individuals that reside in the Cabbala. Although, there are many more recent arrivals to Helheim that did not serve in that war, including myself. Still, while the war with the Cabbala ended in a treaty, the conflict did not end. Since the war's official end, Helheim has been plagued with constant attacks, schemes and sabotage by the Cabbala. While I serve as the appointed spokesperson for the Gods, it is common knowledge I served in the Helheim Guard for some time. During that time, the mainstay of my duties was chasing down Cabbala attackers and protecting people from assault by Cabbala citizens. Most recently, the former Helheim ally of the Elenion Elves who held a tower on Nascentia was crushed by Cabbala forces and cast into the winds. There are few citizens of Helheim who have not in some capacity seen or been a victim of Cabbala attacks. The most recent war is also a testament to their machinations. The conflict was instigated by an explosion within the Empire that was blamed on Helheim, yet Helheim was innocent. Most recently, the Guard tower in Helheim was blown up. It is my firm opinion that this is the handy work of the Cabbala, who have sought to weaken their rivals by instigating conflict between the Jade Lotus Empire and the Cabbala. Helheim must never forget the danger posed by demonic corruption, dark schemes and that its consistent enemy for the past year has been the Cabbala. Who have routinely never accepted any form of real peace, just avoiding all-out war as they continually harass our Kingdom. As the spiritual guide to Helheim, I call upon all citizens of Helheim to be watchful of the Cabbala and remember that they can never be trusted. That they seek power and chaos only and delight in the agony of others. If Helheim is to truly regain a measure of security and peace in this new age of conflict, the true enemy must be realized and defended against. All of Helheim must come together to build a stronger Kingdom, one free from the manipulations of a cunning and devious foe. By the grace of the Four, may Helheim continue to prosper and may the Gods watch over King Tyr and his family. Signed Count Ralathos Gilderman Reclusiarch of the Basilica |
